GARNETT — A high school science teacher from Garnett who is a finalist for a national mathematics and science teaching award also has another gig. Jeanna Scheve’s band “Platinum Vine” has also just released its first album of soft country blues – indeed the same week that she was notified she was a national finalist. “It’s been a busy week,” she said. Platinum Vine has performed throughout the area and will be the headliner for the Linn County Fair.
