OLATHE — A fast-food employee was severely burned in a bizarre accident in Olathe Saturday. Kansas City TV stations report that Gary Cifuentes, 22, Kansas City; was burned when an elderly driver lost control of her SUV, =jumped the curb and smashed through the side of a Church’s Chicken restaurant. The crash hit the deep-fat fryers, covering Cifuentes with hot grease. Restaurant officials said he is in serious but stable condition from second- and third-degree burns over 50 percent of his body. He’s at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
