YEREVAN, Armenia — Kansas Adjutant General Lee Tafanelli is in the former Soviet republic of Armenia this week. He’s leading a team of National Guard officers and non-coms to the country, which has a partnership program with Kansas. He’s meeting with top Armenian military and emergency management officials. In addition, he will participate in a parade marking the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence from the Soviet Union.
