POMONA — POMONA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office says a 53-year-old Pomona woman was surprised by a man pounding at the front door of her house in the 3200 block of Delaware Road just north of Pomona Saturday afternoon. According to initial reports, the man then went to her back door, knocked on it and then kicked it in. The woman told deputies the man hollered about a traffic accident and got into a vehicle and left. That set off a search for the suspect and the accident. However, despite an intense search, the sheriff’s office says neither was found. The case remains under investigation.
