OTTAWA – The deadline is Monday to apply for the vacancy on the Ottawa school board that occurred because of the death of Darrell Bourque. There have been several inquiries about the vacancy and two people have applied, Ottawa Supt Dean Katt said. To apply, you should contact board clerk Teresa Powers and bring a resume and a letter why you want to be a board member. The board would interview applicants later this month and select someone to fill the remaining one year of Bourque’s term.
