WASHINGTON, D.C. – Kansas congresswoman Lynn Jenkins was among a group of House G-O-P leaders that met with President Obama at the White House last night. in a news release sent out by Jenkins’ office, House leaders laid out a proposal to temporarily extend the debt limit, formally appoint budget negotiators, and begin immediate discussions on how to re-open the government. Jenkins described the meeting as “productive” and says that President Obama did not say “yes,” but he also did not say “no.” Jenkins says both sides left the meeting in agreement to continue the discussion in order to sort out differences.
