We all waste food. Buy too much and it sits and gets bad, over stocking our pantry. We’ve all done it. On a National scale, food loss and waste is a huge problem. The USDA’s Second Annual Food Loss and Waste Innovation Fair is coming up later in September and USDA Representative, Jean Buzby, explains what is behind the National efforts to reduce food loss and waste by 50% by 2030:

As Jean said, one third of food produced in the United States is wasted. Finding ways to reduce that and reduce typical family food waste will not only save space in landfills, but also save you money. The Food Loss and Waste Innovation Fair will be held September 14th
