A local business woman, who recently lost her husband to cancer, is holding an event in his memory. Julie Riggins, owner of The Goat Milk Soap Store, told the Ottawa City Commission what she has in mind:
Riggins says the Blessing Box will provide the meat, buns, drinks, silverware and plates. Those who come are asked to bring one dish to make it a potluck.
Riggins says she hopes to make the picnic an annual event, near his birthday, September 23rd. Joe Riggins lost his battle with cancer a few weeks ago.
