We the people… the opening line of a document that set the foundation of our Country and has literally changed the world.
The United States Constitution was signed September 17th, 1787. Two hundred thirty five years ago. The oldest man to sign it, an American icon, 81 year old Benjamin Franklin. The youngest, you probably never heard of, Jonathan Dayton, only 26 years old, out of New Jersey. A document so important, you probably remember learning the opening stanza, the Preamble, in school. For those of you who don’t remember maybe this will refresh your memory. Feel free to sing along:
