Ottawa Police responded to a burglary in the 700 block of East Garfield Friday, after a homeowner reported the residence ransacked and property missing, including weapons.
Officers investigating identified the suspect as a 14 year old male, who lived in the area.

Officers recovered the stolen property and arrested the juvenile for unlawful use of a weapon, criminal discharge of a weapon, aggravated child endangerment, burglary, theft and criminal damage to property. The suspect was transported to the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Center in Lawrence, where he will remain until a court hearing in Franklin County.
