An Ottawa burglary that led to the discharge of a weapon over the weekend in Ottawa has Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner concerned. He says he believes most gun owners are responsible, but there is a chance that guns can be take out of a residence. He is urging everyone in the community to lock up their guns.
In the incident Friday, a gun fired into a wall, went through the wall, then lodged in the wall of the house next door. Chief Weingartner says it’s very fortunate that no one was harmed, as the family next door was home at the time.
