The Franklin County Commission has approved a new 2023 Budget that, for the most part, holds the line on most items. During a Special Budget Hearing, Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock, gave some specifics:
The Budget approval came after a number of people voiced complaints that claimed the county was raising taxes and they saw no results. County officials explained they do whatever they can to save money and the slight increase is due primarily to giving employees raises and to inflation.
