If you use services provided by the Franklin County Health Department and you have to take the discounts because of your income, you many wonder if the Health Department just goes by what their clients tell them. During a recent Board of Health Meeting, there was an answer to that question. The County Commission also acts as the Board of Health. Assistant Health Department Director, Pam Harris, says there’s no snooping:
Harris says the Health Department has a sliding income program so nobody is turned away from needed services because they can’t pay.
