Another sign of fall is the end of Daylight Savings Time and….that starts this weekend. With the time change, not only do we lose an hour of sunlight, but also, we need to think about changing the batteries or replacing the smoke detectors in our house. Ottawa Fire Chief Tim Mathias says they offer them at no charge:

He adds that if you like, the fire department will come out and inspect your house and let you know exactly where to place them and then install them for you.

Daylight Savings iTme officially ends at 2:00 tomorrow morning Sunday, November 5th, so make sure you set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tonight.
