A new program funded by the Kansas Attorney General’s office offers a free app for youth who may be having a mental crisis. Franklin County Sheriff, Jeff Richards says the important thing is to have someone to talk to when a person is having a crisis:
Richards says many times, just having a youth talk to a trained counselor will help the young person cope with his or her crisis without having to go to physical intervention.
