The first mention of a possible Wind Farm in Franklin County came up during the regular meeting of the County Commission. Franklin County Planning Director Kenny Cook told commissioners about the project:
Cook says the establishment of a Meteorological Tower is the very first step in putting up a Wind Farm, with the station testing winds and other conditions. Altogether, a Wind Farm could take several years to complete.
