There was more debate over “objectionable books” during the regular meeting of the Ottawa Library Board of Trustees. At issue were three books that required a decision from the Board on whether to uphold the library’s staff’s decision to keep them on the shelves. Board Member Lindsay Humphreys and Linda Normile exchanged views on what is obscene:
In the end, the Board voted six to one to uphold library staff’s decision to keep the books on the shelves……Board Member Lindsey Humphreys was the lone no vote.
