It seems the Ottawa City Commission has settled on a proposed rate hike for wastewater services. During the Regular City Commission Study Session, Finance Director, Melanie Landis, set out what the impact would be on customers involving a 5% per year increase for 5 years.
The rate hike would also include a slight increase in the base rate…..all of the Commissioners indicated they like this scenario the best……..the Commission is expected to make a decision on this and related water rate increases probably in late December. Rate increases would take effect the first of February.
