For now, the Ottawa Library has decided to keep several books on the shelf which some patrons found objectionable. During the Regular Ottawa Library Board of Trustees Meeting, board member Lindsey Humphreys said she believed most people would agree with her on the need to restrict the books in question:
If the library receives complaints about a particular book, the staff will review the material in question and then make a decision about whether to remove the book or keep it on the shelf.
