The Ottawa School District is about to implement a new policy involving the possible use of search wands on students suspected of vaping. During the regular School Board Meeting, High School Principal Kelly Whittaker said she has been talking to students, and then gave a demonstration of wanding by passing the wand over Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs:
The policy takes effect in January.
