The state requirement that certain businesses who serve liquor must have 30% of their income come from food, is causing trouble for several businesses in Franklin County. During a joint luncheon of city, county and school district officials, Ottawa City Commissioner, Zach Clayton says he’s been talking to people and the rule is one of the reasons Buck-U Distillery closed their doors:

Clayton says if the petition is put on next November’s Ballot, it would ask the voters if they want to completely eliminate the food requirement.
