A very friendly german shepard mix dog, found outside Louisburg earlier this month, was a long ways from home. Officials at the Wildcat Vet Clinic checked it for a microchip, and low and behold they found out that this was not your run of the mill stray dog. It was 1,700 miles away from home in Sacramento, California! So, how in the world did it get to Louisburg, Kansas? That mystery may have been solved when they called the owner, who was, to say the least thrilled to hear their dog Zeppelin had been found more than a year after disappearing from their rural home. Sandra O’Neil believes he may have been picked up by one of the truck drivers on a construction crew working in the area at the time. They spent months searching, but, to no avail.

Kansas City based “ The Pet Connection” says They are now looking at possibly flying him home, hopefully by Christmas. Eventually, Zeppelin will get home and what a Christmas blessing it will be for his owners.
