According to a new report released by DOXO Insights, residents of Ottawa spend, on average, $1,454 a month on household bills. That’s over 27% lower than the national average of $2,003 and 15% lower than the state average of $1,720. That works out to be about 34% of household income on household bills, making Ottawa the number 33 most expensive City in Kansas for those expenses.
The report looked at utilities, health insurance, cable and internet, mobile phone service and life insurance. It did not include mortgage or rent payments. Of the 50 largest cities in the Nation, Kansas City ranked number 44 with those same bills at $1,764. The most expensive city to live in, according to the report, is San Jose, California at $3,248 a month. The cheapest…Detroit, Michigan at $1,634 dollars.
