A prisoner at a minimum-security prison has been placed on escaped status. Zachary Leis walked away from the Wichita Work Release Facility earlier this morning, December 27. Leis is a 28-year-old white male and was reported missing when he did not return to the facility after work. He is serving a sentence for convictions of aggravated assault, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and two counts of domestic battery in Sedgwick County. He is a white male, 6 foot 3 inches tall, 202 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. Anyone with information on Leis should call the Kansas Department of Corrections or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation or, call 911.
