The Fire Lake Soapery in Paola has a new owner. Laura Rozell has spent more than 25 years selling natural skin care products, but she says she was outgrowing the basement in her home and decided to look for a store front property. She moved quickly when Fire Lake Soapery became available. Julie Zoller opened the establishment in 2017 and quickly make a good name in the soap industry. Their products are found in over a thousand retail locations nationwide and several other countries.
Rozell says business hasn’t slowed down at all and local customers will recognize a lot of the same products along with some new ones with soaps, lotions, candles, skin care items and more. She plans to launch a dog product program soon and plans to feature work from local artisans inside the shop, with events every month like candle making and decorating wine bottles.
