The Kansas Legislature is set to convene for the 2023 session Monday morning, January 9th and there will be a lot of issues facing them right from the get-go. One issue expected to come up fairly quickly is abortion rights. Governor Laura Kelly was asked if she would stay in the middle or if she would stand with the Democratic party on the issue.

The Legislature is set to convene Monday morning at 10:00 at the Kansas Statehouse in Topeka. Abortion, medical marijuana, education funding, eliminating the food sales tax immediately, taxes, and Medicaid expansion are expected to come to the forefront early in the session.
