U. S. Senator Jerry Moran, the Senior Member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense and member of the United States Military Academy Board of Visitors, has been named the new Co-Chair of the Senate Army Caucus by fellow Co-Chair, U. S. Senator Jack Reed, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Armed Services. Senator Moran will replace retiring U. S. Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma as Co-Chair.
Moran says Kansas has a proud history of Military service and is home to a significant Army presence with Fort Riley, Fort Leavenworth and the Army National Guard and Reserve. This appointment will allow him to better advocate for our soldiers and their families in Kansas, the United States and across the globe.
