Plans to finalize a couple major projects concerning Proximity Park are starting to come together. Yesterday, the City of Ottawa held a bid opening for the water tower to be constricted at Proximity Park. Bids ranged from just under $4 million, to a low bid by Maguire Iron Water Tower Experts, ut of Sioux City, Iowa for $3,414,100 . All the bids will be taken under consideration by the Ottawa City Commission.
Maguire Iron was founded in 1915 and has been a one family-owned business from the beginning.
