There were some emotional moments when a former Ottawa City Commissioner was honored during the Regular City Commission Meeting. Tom Weigand was presented with a retirement plaque…….at one point, he directed his comments to City Manager Richard Nienstedt:
Weigand says he resigned from the Commission because he could no longer give it the commitment it deserves….and he thought it was time for some younger people to take a seat on the Commission.
