Kansas Attorney General, Kris Kobach, has issued an open letter to the U. S. Attorney General, Merrick Garland, asking that the Depart of Justice conduct a thorough, independent, and transparent investigation into President Biden’s mishandling and storage of confidential records. Kobach says it is clear since the discovery of President Biden’s illegally stored records, that President Biden’s apparent disregard for the Rule of Law extends beyond unconstitutional Executive Orders and Agency Actions. The President appears to believe that the rules do not apply to him.
Kobach’s letter includes a list of unanswered questions about how the Department of Justice handled the initial discovery, including whether the President can confirm that all of the confidential documents he took to his private residence in 2016 have been recovered. Kobach asks that the department not let Biden or his representatives interfere with the investigation.
