The Ottawa Kansas Veterans Day Committee is inviting people who have served in the United States military or currently serving, to be part of the Ottawa Honors Patriotic Pole Banner Project. The banners would be placed on the light poles in Downtown Ottawa, commemorating the service of a veteran. Organizer Liz Louderman says now is the time to order your banners as the City of Ottawa has stepped up and is sponsoring part of the cost:
