The Ottawa Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in their investigation into a string of burglaries to businesses in and around the downtown area over the weekend, particularly on business in the 100 block of West Third that occurred early yesterday morning, January 22. The suspect is described as a white male 20 to 30 years old, wearing a beanie, a red hoodie, dark ripped jeans with black and white tennis shoes. He has dirt blond hair. The man was last seen walking toward Main Street between 8:30 and 9:00 yesterday morning.

Ottawa Police are asking any residents or businesses to check any video cameras they have to help identify the suspect. If you have any information about the burglary or the suspect, please call the Franklin County Emergency Communications Center at 785-242 1700 to get in touch with an officer, or call 911 and they can direct your call to an investigating officer.
