An Ottawa Middle Schooler has won a Regional Essay Contest hosted by the Kansas League of Municipalities. It’s an annual contest called “My City,My Home”. Brody Rockers was the winner of the Southeast Region.
The students are asked to explain why their city is “home” and what they like about their community. Hundreds of students participated in the contest and five Regional Winners along with one overall winner were selected.
The Overall Winner was Jocylyn Leanna, a 7th grader at Phillipsburg Middle School in the North Central Region. Congratulations Brody and to all the Regional winners.
