There will be no wind farms in Franklin County….that’s the bottom line following a 4 to 0 vote by the County Commission to deny a special use permit required for the project. During a marathon meeting, most people spoke against the project. One of the few who spoke out in support of a possible wind farm was David Judd of the Judd Ranch. Judd said there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about wind towers.
Although this wind farm project appears to be dead, there is no prohibition against other possible projects in the future.
