It’s that time of the year…love is in the air, and……that means there are people out there trying to break your heart and scam you out of your money. The FBI says one of the most underreported crimes in the world involved romance scams. ABC’s Jim Ryan with more:
The FBI estimates that nearly 73,000 people fell victim to romance scams in 2022, a decrease of over 10% from the year before, with a loss of over $1 billion. People age 51 to 56 accounted for nearly half of the money lost to the scams.
