Diving into an ice cold lake in the middle of winter is not what most of us would consider a good time. But…there will be a lot of people doing just that tomorrow, February 19, at the Lake Olathe Swim Beach. The 2023 Special Olympics Polar Plunge will take place tomorrow. The event raises funds for the Special Olympic Programming to support nearly 5,000 Special Olympic Athletes in the State of Kansas. One of those taking the plunge for the 11th year in a row will be Ottawa Police Officer, Larabie Alexander. He talked about the event:
