Child care, or the lack of it, will be a focus this year for state officials in charge of the Community Block Grant Programs. Child care is desperately needed all across the state, particularly in our area. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, tells us what is available:
Bean says adding child care facilities and building the workforce is vital in bringing economic development to not only Franklin County, but other places in Kansas, particularly with the building of the Panasonic battery plant in DeSoto, and the announcement of two semiconductor manufacturing plants in Wichita and Burlington.
