The City of Ottawa is in a conflict of sorts with the Kansas Department of Transportation over the placing of barricades along Prairie Spirit Trail. Ottawa Public Works Director, Dennis Tharp says he’s perplexed:
Tharp says he has yet to receive a straight answer from KDOT over the barricade issue. He says over the years, the original barricades have been pretty much destroyed. They are just wanting to replace them with a stronger more resistant type of barricade to prevent further issues.
