The increase in fentanyl deaths and overdoses in the Ottawa area late last year has put law enforcement on increased alert to find who is distributing the drug. Franklin County has made one arrest in the case. Carl Otto is charged with unlawful distribution of the drug. However, Franklin County Attorney, Brandon Jones describe what they are looking for:
Jones does say that methamphetamine is still the number one drug problem in Franklin County, but most of it is laced with fentanyl. Otto’s next court appearance is scheduled for April 6th at 11:30 in the morning in Franklin County District Court.
