It’s no secret that if you drive on the interstate, cars go fast………..real fast. And that fact is behind a move by the Wellsville Police Department to get out on I-35 and start patrolling. To do that, the department is asking the City Council to annex the K-33 bridge and overpass over I-35 and the ramps. Police Chief Danny Hackler says the stakes are high:
Without the annexation, Wellsville Police cannot issue tickets to people speeding nearby on I-35 or in the vicinity.
