The suspect in the first homicide in Ottawa in over 10 years is in for a long trial. Thirty year-old Anthony Alvarado was arrested in June for the stabbing death of his roommate, at their residence at 11th and Ash. Franklin County Attorney, Brandon Jones, says the case is very complex:
Alvarado is charged with second degree murder. A preliminary hearing for the case is set for May 5th in Franklin County District Court.
