If you are caught in a tornado you obviously want a sturdy shelter. During a Storm Spotter Training Program at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium, National Weather Service Meteorologist, Jennifer Prieto, had a warning about Mobile Homes:
Prieto says if you are caught out in the ope with no shelter available, lie in the lowest level of ground you can find for maximum protection against flying debris and other objects thrown around by the wind.
Severe thunderstorms can produce winds from 58 mph to over 100 mph and that’s without a tornado.
