We’ve all seen how fast people drive on I-35, and a recent survey by the Wellsville Police Department found that the number of speeders has increased dramatically, as had the speed they are driving. To slow people down, Wellsville Police Chief, Danny Hackler wants the city to annex the I-35 interchange area
The only way Wellsville Police can issue tickets to speeding motorists on the highway if an annexation is allowed. Many cities on the I-35 route have such annexations specifically for the purpose of patrolling the area and keeping speed down.
