The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) reinforces the need for Kansans enrolled in the Kansas Medicaid (kancare) Program to keep their contact information updated and to be on the lookout for important information from KANCARE in the mail. Eligibility reviews have paused since March 2020 and are resuming in April, due to changes in Federal Law. KDHE Secretary, Janet Stanek, says they are providing as much information as possible to minimize surprises about eligibility and coverage.
KDHE recommends people call the KANCARE Clearinghouse and give them your current address, phone number and other contact information . Then, be on the lookout for your notice in the mail and respond immediately by returning the forms.
