If you want to get efficient energy sources, then don’t look at wind and solar. That’s one message from former TV weatherman and current Kansas State Senator, Mike Thompson. During a program at Ottawa Memorial Auditorium, Thompson noted that existing energy sources are much more efficient:
Thompson says renewable energy only operates intermittently, such as when the sun is shining or the wind is blowing. With that in mind, Thompson says we can never realistically shift completely to renewables without suffering major blackouts for millions of customers.
