Central Heights Kindergarten teacher, Lauri Tyner, had a big surprise recently. School staff and students presented her with flowers and a photo opp in front of a banner featuring her as one of the nominees for the Kansas Teacher of the Year. She was stunned and surprised by the nomination. She talks about what it means to her:
Tyner will join other nominees across the state’s four regions at banquets across the state on Sunday. The State Awards Banquet will be held September 23rd in Wichita.
