A Wellsville man is dead after a single vehicle crash on I-35 yesterday afternoon March 23rd. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, about 3:20 yesterday afternoon a GMC pickup truck driven by 20-year-old Zebadiah Harris of Wellsville was southbound on I-35, one mile south of Tennessee Road when the truck left the roadway to the right for an unknown reason. The vehicle struck a guardrail, continued through the ditch and struck a concrete culvert and began to roll. Harris, who the Highway Patrol says was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and the truck came to rest in the north ditch.
Traffic on the highway was reduced to one lane as authorities investigated the scene.
