An Education Bill now under consideration by the Kansas Legislature has school districts nervous about how they can pay all the bills in the future. Ottawa School Superintendent Dr. Ryan Cobbs, says guaranteed salary increases for teachers and other staff members could prove costly:
Cobbs says depending on the final outcome of the bill, less wealthy school districts may have to look at bankruptcy.
In other business, the School Board re-elected Board President, Harold Wingert and Vice President Chris Cunningham for another year in their current positions.
