On Friday, Kansas Congressman Jake LaTurner voted in favor of House Bill 5, known as the Parents Bill of Rights. The Bill would put in place legal protections to ensure parent always have a seat at the table when it comes to their children’s education. Issues came up during the pandemic when schools shut down and parents protested at school board meetings across the country. LaTurner spoke about the purpose of the Bill:
