We have all heard how important it is to get all kind of new housing in Ottawa, as there is still a significant shortage of affordable homes in the area that is needed to attract workers and others moving to the city. So, how is the new housing market in Ottawa right now? City Commissioner Zach Clayton and Mayor Eric Crowley, who are both familiar with house construction, talked about the issue:

The need for more housing is intensifying as the Panasonic Plant in DeSoto and a new chip factory in Burlington are being built. Ottawa is sitting right in the middle and is being looked at as a possible site for workers to live and for secondary industry to build in Proximity Park
